The Lord’s Acre Internship Program is critical to all 3 of the aspects of our mission: Education, Grow and Give and Community.

The Intern Program provides individuals the opportunity to work in a beautiful garden under the instruction of two former Mother Earth News head gardeners, Susan and Franklin Sides, who have sixty years of experience between them. Within the context of growing food organically and sustainability in an amazing garden and surrounded by a tight-knit community, are woven topics such as food security and hunger, personal growth and responsibility, community, and joy.

Without interns (who work for room, board and education – to this point that’s it), The Lord’s Acre would be half of what it is or less. They bring humor, depth, questions, creativity, ideas, and new ways of thinking about the future. We only choose the best of the best and it shows.
